Piers was appointed to the Board as Deputy Chairman on 3 November 2005, becoming Chairman with effect from 1 February 2006. Piers has worked in the corporate public relations environment for over 27 years and has close associations with the media, gaming and horseracing industries. He is currently Executive Deputy Chairman of Chime Communications plc, which he co-founded with Lord Bell. He is also Vice President of the National Society for Epilepsy and a Trustee of the Foundation for Liver Research.

Ian was appointed Chief Executive on 1 October 2005. He was previously Chief Executive of Arena Leisure Plc whom he joined in 1998 shortly after the formation of the company. Ian is a chartered accountant and has extensive commercial experience of the sports, leisure, gaming and media industries. He is a Trustee of The National Football Museum.

Steve was appointed Finance Director and Company Secretary in May 2006 and has held a number of positions across the leisure and manufacturing sectors. Steve joined the Company from his position as Finance Executive of Hemway Limited. Prior to this he was Finance Director of Herald Inns and Bars. Steve spent three years at the textile and wallcoverings group CWV Group, latterly as Group Finance Director, following a two year period as Financial Controller for the Manchester Division of Barratt Homes. Steve qualified as a chartered accountant with Coopers & Lybrand in 1992.

Kathryn was appointed to the Board on 4 September 2000. She is the Chief Executive of Hemway Limited and also a Director of a number of leisure and property related businesses. Kathryn is a qualified solicitor and sits on the Company’s Audit and Remuneration Committees.

John was appointed to the Board on 11 November 2005 and chairs the Audit and Remuneration Committees. He has over 39 years of consumer brand and leisure industry experience. For 17 years, he worked in senior marketing and general management positions with large international corporations such as Procter & Gamble and PepsiCo. in the UK, USA and France. He has served on the boards of several well known listed and private equity backed hospitality and leisure companies as either Chairman or Non-executive Director. He was named AIM Non-executive Director of the Y ear in the Sunday Times/ KBC Peel Hunt Non-executive Director Awards 2006. He is currently a Non-executive Director of Interior Services Group plc and Chairman of Novus Leisure Limited.

Jon was appointed to the Board on 16 July 2007. Jon began his career in sports management when he founded Park Associates in 1981. SFX was founded in 1998 following the sale of Park Associates to the Marquee Group, with Jon being appointed Managing Director of SFX. In 2003, Jon led a consortium to buy Leicester City Football Club out of administration, and was Chairman when the team gained promotion to the Premier League that year, before resigning to devote his attention back to SFX. In late 2006 the Wasserman Media Group acquired SFX, at which point Jon left to form his own company, Jon Holmes Media, retaining his sports broadcast and media clients.
